Being as this is my first foray into the GH franchise I have to say this is a decently solid game. The band and guitar mechanic is all in place and everything works well. The build your own character feature is fun and gets the job done, but cane be a bit painful at times with the jump in/out menus.
The biggest downfall for the game is the music though. The music selection on the disc panders to a wide audience, which means any one person will only like 10-20% of the songs. Worse though is the downloadable games which are expensive and come in packs that again feature songs you don't want.
It is a good party game, but nothing you are going to play on a daily basis.
